I've completed first grade and am very proud of my ability to read by myself and to my sisters. My favorite thing to do is build fairy houses out of sticks, leaves, petals, and rocks in the yard. My big front teeth are completely in and I am an accomplished swimmer who can dive to the bottom and touch the drain. |

Almost 8, and I finally made it to 40 lbs. Granted, I weighed myself after a healthy dinner, but 40 pounds is 40 pounds. My favorite thing to do is work on private fairy houses in the backyard, but afternoon runs with dad are fun as well. I'm a good reader and almost always get 10 out of 10 on my spelling tests. |

This past year I grew 2 inches and gained 2 whole lbs. I can swim without help, play 3 songs on the violin, tie my shoes, dress myself, and get drinks from the refrigerator without supervision. I like to do ballet and sing my own songs, and enjoy playing with Barbie. |

Between Jr-K and violin, I've been pretty busy during the day. In the afternoon and evening, I spend most of my time trying to be a good big sister to a two year old with a serious case of the "mine, Mine, MINE!" Still, we do a lot together and it makes me proud to see her wear my old things. |

Another year, another 2.3 lbs gained. At this rate, I'll be 31 by the time I'm big enough to get out of my booster chair. I had a princess tea party with my friend Merrill and ate lots of sugar cubes. Being 5 is going to be great. |

Finally... We've hit the big 30! In other news, Barbie Island Princess was a big hit this past Christmas and I still love to play dress up. Dad is my best dance partner as we get married almost every night. I'm also Elaine's primary translator as she has yet to really talk. |

Zoo Camp was the best this summer as I got to feed a banana to a giraffe. In other news, I won the 4th of July parade (again) and made the local news. Being a big sister is frustrating at times, but mom and dad are always finding new ways to keep me involved. |

I just completed my first semester of pre-K and am experiencing Christmas break for the first time. I have been the "front and center kid" at every program and have a new boyfriend. His name is Hood and I like him because he is funny and he pushes me in the swing. |

Basically I'm a little kid now. I am fully potty trained, can speak in paragraphs, sort-of dress myself and have strong opinions. I even smell like a kid when I get hot and sweaty. This fall I start school and... wait a second... oh no, what am I going to wear? |

At 7:00 every morning I wake up and start talking. By 8:00 pm every evening, I stop. Dad tried to track all the words I've learned, but it was too much for him to keep up with. Still working on the toilet thing, but I'm getting better ever since mommy started with the stickers. |

Song and Dance are some of my favorite things. Whether it is just making up something on the fly, or singing 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame', I love to sing. Furthermore, have started to use the big girl toilet with some consistency. |

In the past few months, I've really started to develop what my dad calls 'strong opinions'. So, while he doesn't always agree with my 'neeeeeds' he does keep my attitude in check. Overall I am a sweet little girl who likes to share crackers with total strangers. |

With 20 lbs officially in the rear view mirror, I now focus on other things. While my vocabulary is exploding, I still find it hard to communicate with Mom and Dad from time to time. Often I tell them EXACTLY what I want and yet they appear to not hear me. Words like cookie, sucker, down and outside fall on deaf ears. |

Somehow I've lost a half pound since my last checkup. The Dr. checked my teeth, ears and speech and says that despite my being off the left end of the bell curve when it comes to weight, I am healthy overall... just small. In other news, Elmo is my hero and I can make all sorts of farm animal noises. |

Walking is the best thing ever! It allows me to get into things that even the cat can't. I can eat a banana in under a minute and can point to my nose on command. I enjoy speaking in complete paragraph form, but mom and dad are yet to understand most of my "words". |

Sort of walking and sort of talking now. I've taken 7 steps in a row and pretty much call everything that moves a "CAT,CAT,CAT". I also get to eat yummy things like cheerios, wagon wheels, pears and pickles... but carrots are still my favorite. |

A lot has happened in the past 3 months. Despite weighing more than dad's bowling ball, I can now crawl around and pull myself up into the standing position. I've been taking swimming lessons and ate my first cheerio. Kitty is my best friend and I spend a lot of time chasing her around the house. |

I am now able to sit up with some help and roll over at will. As a reward "muh muh muh" feeds me Butter-nut squash... come on! I think teeth are starting to come in, because they have a tendency to bother me once the house gets all quite late at night. |

I am really working on that "roll over" manuever and it's starting to create a bald spot on the back of my head. Flipping from front to back isn't all that hard, but I get stuck when I try it the other way around. |
