| Well, well, well... guess who came EARLY? That's right, this past Saturday, June 13th, flight HAW3.0 arrived a little early and, as a result, didn't exactly hit 9 lbs level some were predicting. Concurrently, this also denied my man Hank v2.0 the opportunity to shrivel away for an additional ten days. The result... a very competitive wager that, as time went on, got equal action on both sides. Here is how it shook out. |

| Fortunately, just prior to delivery, Hank was able to focus just enough to remember to jump on some random hospital scale and log in his weight... and astonishing 189 lbs. Moments later, Hank v3.0 took his first breath of fresh air in months and clocked in at a bouncing 7 lbs and 14 oz. What does that mean? Well here comes the math per the original wager. |

| So there you have it. By a mere 0.1575 lbs., Hank v2.0 takes the cake... a cake without icing and probably made only of egg whites, but he takes it none the less. To put this into it's proper perspective, according to my certified USPS postage scale, a can of Coke Zero weighs 0.8125 lbs and my Treo 650 weighs 0.375 lbs. Both way more than the deciding margin, so this was really close! So what IS exactly 0.1575 lbs.? Get this... my much maligned USA Today. Not kidding. It's on the button to 1,000th of a pound. Amazing. So in my mind, there is no way Hank v2.0 holds on for the victory if the baby stays on board for another day or two. No way. |
