Chicken and the Egg

Which of my chickens will lay an egg first?

After five collectively unsuccessful wagering attempts by the rv.com public, I decided this time to try something a little more random. The thought was, if I removed all the skill, some of you people might actually stand a chance at victory. I mean seriously... to date we are as a group a total of 215 points in the hole. How is that possible with some of the softballs I've been lobbing up there? This stuff should be easy. I mean come on. How could you NOT know that decade old computer monitors would float or that my rat trap would be a bust? Yall have got to start being smarter than that. These are RVPR points we are talking about. By this time next week, they may be worth more than the US Dollar. So start paying attention! Sorry, I've digressed... Below are the results of the most recent "Chicken and the Egg" FEPO wager. Since it's been such a long time since we actually started this one, here is a refresher as to what the actual wager was. Once you're all caught up, feel free to check out and/or comment on the results below. Enjoy!

The Results
After 64 days and 110 lbs of food, I went out this morning to find that one of my chickens was missing. Fearing the worst, I started looking around for any signs of foul play. But without the presence of a large number of feathers, the tell tale sign of a dog attack I've learned, I was concerned that she was out and on the loose and in grave danger. So I started looking around for holes in the fence when I stumbled onto a depressed area of monkey grass by the gas meter. There sat Rob, the missing chicken. When I started to reach down and pick her up, she moved to reveal a cache of NINE eggs. I was blown away as I had no idea chickens could lay that many in one sitting! Poor thing, she must have been ready to almost bust.

They looked like a pool rack.
Ava holds up the one that's still warm.

So there you have it. Rob is the winner of this edition of FEPO. No, not Rob the ill-accused perpetrator of this prank, but Rob the chicken. Guess that makes sense seeing how she has lived the most interesting life since being dropped off at my house. So far she has been in two different neighbors yards, chased to no end by my dog, figured out how to hide up in a magnolia tree, attended GSL's 'Bring a Pet to School Day' a few weeks back, and now, is the first one to lay an egg... or nine. So congratulations rvining, kgarrett, and aj, you win the wager and get RVPR points for your extraordinary egg prognostication abilities. Try not to spend them all at once.

At least Hank and William can still say "we're alive". (sorry Dorrill)
Rob heads off to make more winning eggs.

Well folks, it took over 2 months but we finally have a winner! Congratulations Rob (the chicken) on being the first to lay an egg in my FEPO drag race. On another note, now that that's been settled, does anybody have a fry-daddy?
