Little Caesar's Rocker

This was news to me. Apparently, Memphis has a new landmark character that ranks up there with the 'waver guy' who used to hang out on Walnut Grove, the 'medicine man' from the Coliseum, the 'Yates crazy lady' back in the 80's or that 'one eyed guy' on Union. The other day I was out East making a foos-ball table pickup with Ken when I came to the light at Park and Mendenhall. Now I'm sure everybody has seen the poor guys that places like Little Caesar's and Valvoline run out to the corner when business is slow to serve as human billboards. Well, while this guy is no different except from those poor defeated souls, he has decided to make the most of his time. Armed only with a mp3 player that I presume is loaded with hours of 'death rock', this guy goes total completely air guitar with whatever meal deal sign Little Caesar's runs him out there with. And while it is funny to watch, I really wasn't impressed until Ken said - 'oh yeah, that guy is out here all the time doing that'. What? This isn't a one time thing? All the time? You had to be kidding me! But then, almost an hour later no less, we drove back by and the guy was still going at it. Now I was really impressed. How anybody not named Lance Armstrong could keep a pace like that up for more than 5 minutes is beyond me. Truly remarkable. So the next time you go by there, take a camera. If you are feeling especially ambitious, take some pen and paper as well as I would be willing to dump some RVPR points your way as payment for this rv.com exclusive.
- 12/7/2006 10:51:24 AMda dude rules - he's da bomb dot. if i had just a tiddly of his energy, i'm sure i could wrastle a grizzley - i think he's probably on something a little extra than rock music though.
